The steps to a better future

The Optergo Solutions are based on several years of research and development. The spectacles you will get as a part of the solution must be adapted to your vision needs, the type of work you do, your anatomy as well as the layout of your practice!

Obviously, all this information cannot be collected via the web or at a quick appointment at the local optician. Much more is needed.

So here it comes, information about the steps to a better future!

1 Set up an Optergo Assessment Appointment
This step is what you initiate when contact one of our Knowledge Centres or us directly. We will agree on a date and time when we can do the Optergo Assessment.”

2 Preparations for the Optergo Assessment
A letter with all the information you may need will be sent to you, including instructions on how to adopt a healthy working posture. As preparation for the assessment, you should follow the inst-ructions and make sure you understand how it works.

3 Optergo Assessment
The Optergo Assessment consists of 3 parts:
Eye examination – we will do an extensive investigation into any sight problems you may have in order to make sure your Optergo Prism Spectacles or Prism Loupes has the right prescription.
Posture training -  You and the Optergo certi-fied optometrist will go through the instructions and make sure you adopt the right posture. Now it is time to ask any questions you might have in relation to the ergonomics.
Special measurements – The last part is when we take all necessary measurements for manufacturing your spectacles. That includes measurements of different working distances as well as assessing where to position the prisms.

4 Manufacturing of Prism Spectacles
The Knowledge Centre will then transfer the re-sult over internet to Optergo in Sweden and the manufacturing of your Optergo solution will start. It will take approximately 3 weeks to produce them.

5 Questionnaire and review of ergonomics
When your Optergo Solution is ready, you will once again visit the Knowledge Centre. You will together review and discuss the 9 steps to the most beneficial work posture and other ergono-mic aspects.

6 Delivery of your Optergo Solution
At the same visit to the Knowledge Centre, you will get your Optergo Spectacles and the special guidance software (called Maxireach). The spec-tacles will be tested to ensure that they have the right prescription as well as the right focal depth.

Time to start using the Optergo Solution!

Voilá, you have your Optergo Solution! Now it is time to start using it. The spectacles will be no problem, you will get used to them in no-time. The important part is to keep working with your posture and the ergonomic aspects and that’s where the software comes in.

When you get back to your clinic, you should install the Maxireach software at the computer you use most. The first thing you will see is a welcome message and a questionnaire regarding the current status of your back, neck and shoulders. 4 weeks later, you will be presented with the same questionnaire, and we will be able to determine that the Optergo Solution has given the expected result, i.e. less tension and pain in neck, back and shoulders. If the result is not as expected, we will contact you to find the reason and correct it.

After this, the Optergo Software will work as your “Ergonomic Advisor”. With regular intervals, you will be presented with video clips, written instructions and questionnaires (rarely) on your computer screen. All of them are dedicated to help you improve and keep your physical wellbeing.

Typical topics would be how to stretch you neck and back, reminders about how to sit correctly and tips on how to perform different treatments. The type of instructions will be changed automatically based on your responses to the questionnaires.
